Stafford Spartans - High School Esports Facility

TANCHES.GG partnered with Stafford Municipal School District, a K-12 district, to create an innovative esports lab that supports their STEM initiatives and fosters student engagement across all grade levels. From initial consultation and design to installation and ongoing support, our team provided a comprehensive solution tailored to SMSD’s unique requirements.

Consulting & Program Approval
We collaborated with SMSD’s STEM Director and Superintendent to present the educational and engagement benefits of an esports program. Our proposal highlighted how esports aligns with STEM learning goals, leading to program approval by district leadership.

Electrical & Structured Cabling
To support high-performance gaming, we handled all electrical requirements and structured cabling throughout the facility, strategically placing data drops and power connections for efficiency and ease of use.

Hardware Procurement via State Purchasing Contracts
Utilizing state purchasing contracts, we sourced and provided all gaming hardware, including high-end PCs, monitors, gaming consoles, peripherals, and professional-grade displays. This streamlined procurement process ensured SMSD received top-quality equipment while adhering to budget and compliance guidelines. The gaming setups featured white Alienware Aurora R13 gaming stations, offering a sleek, futuristic aesthetic. Each station is equipped with matching white peripherals, including RGB-backlit mechanical keyboards, precision gaming mice, and high-refresh-rate monitors, ensuring a smooth and responsive gaming experience.

Grants Research
To assist SMSD in sustaining their program, we conducted research on relevant grants for K-12 educational technology and esports. This provided the district with potential funding sources to further enhance their esports and STEM initiatives.

Network Setup Expertise
We designed and implemented a robust, low-latency network to support competitive gaming, ensuring reliable performance across all gaming stations and scalability for future growth.

As a liaison between Dell and SMSD, we facilitated discussions that provided SMSD with access to additional resources and potential support from Dell, tailored to their specific program requirements.
